The disturbing dodo village life sim Lonesome Village will be released on November 1st. Solve the mystery with a magical magnifying glass
Developer Ogre Pixel announced on October 4 that the life simulation Lonesome Village will be released on November 1, local time. Compatible platforms are PC (Steam)/Xbox Series ONE/Xbox X | S/Nintendo Switch. According to the Steam store page, it will also support Japanese display.
Lonesome Village is an adventure game that combines the life sim to a puzzle element. The protagonist is Coyote's WAS. He came to a quiet village called Lonesome, which was once known for Hora. By relying only on the attitude and map of NASA Near, the Lonesome village will be revived in a cozy community.
However, this village seems to have a hidden back face. In the past, there was an incident in which the tower suddenly disappeared. Behind it was a cult of the cult trying to control the world by calling the unknown dark power. This time, however, the tower appears again, and at the same time, the villager disappears. What is going on? The purpose of the game seems to protect the peace of the Lonesome village while solving these mysteries.
In this work, you can agriculture, fish, and decorate your house. In addition, there are various resources in the village, which can be used to provide new crafts. You can enjoy interacting with villagers, and you can collect photos as memories. It has been revealed that there is no battle element in this work. On the other hand, this work seems to have plenty of puzzle elements. For example, in the tower, there are puzzles that have a dial drawn with patterns, or move a mirror platform so that the rays hit a specific part.
The protagonist, WAS, has a magical magnifying glass, and seems to be able to hold it all over the village. Looking through the magic magnifying glass, you can get a glimpse of the different side of the village. In the trailer, when I looked at the stone statue through the magnifying glass, the color of the statue and the color of the stone that were fit in. As we solve these mysteries, the truth of the world may be seen. It seems that it will not end just by enjoying the slow life at will.
This work is a Mexican developer Ogre Pixel. In the past, it is a studio that has developed titles for smartphones. This work started as a Kickstarter project. Approximately exceeding the target amount, about 3,500 investors had more than $100,000 (about 15 million yen). The studio seems to have been attracting attention since its release, despite its first PC/console title. The cute visuals and characteristic elements for life systems may be attracting attention.
This work is also exhibited for Steam Next Festival, which is being held until October 11, Japan time. If you are interested, please check it out.
Lonesome Village will be released on November 1 for PC (Steam)/Xbox Series ONE/Xbox X | S/Nintendo Switch.
