Photogenic Minds: Identity is a deck-constructed 3D search psycho-horror game that aims at the end of the loop corridor using photos taken. The stage of this work is Redesign, a paranoid city that cannot be exceeding the night somewhere in Canada. The protagonist Jennifer Silent Fall is a detective who is investigating an unknown body and a missing person who can be found every morning. However, that is an ostensible story. In this work, Jennifer investigated a mass assassination in Leveling as the world's first psychic photographer. He goes into a psychic photo and captures the soul of the dead, approaching the case. A survey of psychic photos will be developed to aim for the end of the night.

Jennifer explores the world of psychic photos with a camera to capture the soul of the dead. In this work, the psychic photo has a loop structure that starts at 12:00 in the afternoon. There is a door in the loop, and a little time progresses when you go ahead of the door. The end of the loop corridor has the soul of the dead, so one of the purposes is to take the time and reach the end point. However, this work requires a film to open the door, and when the film is gone, it is returned to the starting point of the loop. Just trying to go ahead cannot reach the end of the loop. Therefore, in this work, we build a deck using a camera.

First, in the loop corridor, objects with abilities called subjects are exhibited randomly. The player shoots the subject using film, such as huge hands and eerie paintings. The subject taken is decorated in the room at the start of the loop, so the effect of the subject is activated by taking a picture displayed. The effects of the subject include the time of the corridor, increasing the film, increasing the number of photos, and increasing the number of photos that can be used at the starting point of the loop. In short, in this work, a deck is built with a photo of an object with special abilities, and the photos taken are used like a card to move in a random loop corridor.

An eerie presence called a threatening subject occasionally appears in the corridor. If left unattended, the number of films will be reduced, and the search will be adversely affected, so depending on the situation, it is necessary to eliminate the subject of threat. In addition, there is also a logical puzzle element that inferring names based on the characteristics of the dead and spells. As a system, there is also an element that helps a detective tool, and if you feel that it is difficult, you can proceed with your own survey and reasoning method, such as bringing powerful detective tools.

Mr. Rama, a personal developer in Japan, is developing this work. 727nothound is his name as his developer. Past works have released International Designated Mystery No. 123, HEAVY DREAM, and Playable Mockup. In the Playable Mockup Steam version released in May 2022, 95 % of the 44 user reviews were popular. A strange gameplay with horror and cards was being developed, searching for an eerie corridor while building a deck with rules close to the card game Dominion.

This work Photogenic Minds: Identity is a new work developed based on the Playable Mockup system. The crowdfunding, which was implemented in December 2021, earned more than 1.3 million yen for the target amount of 500,000 yen. Development has been developed as a product version of Playable Mockup, which is equipped with story mode composed of multiple loop stages.

In addition, this work was originally scheduled to be distributed on September 16th. However, according to the tweet of 727NOTHOUND, the developer, a bug has occurred due to the continued correction or change until just before. The release has been postponed to September 29. Specifically, two types of maps are currently in a state where they do not move normally, and the implementation of the non-moving maps may be postponed at the time of release. In addition, if there is a specification change, it seems that more maps and items are planned to be updated as a compensation.

Photogenic Minds: Identity will be distributed on September 29 for PC (Steam). In addition, Playable Mockup, which is the base of the basic system, is available for paid Steam version and free game version.
