The Overwatch 2-update sees improved queues and a higher zenyatta
The development team from Overwatch 2 has released its second weekly update, which follows the last week patch, in which the broken hero wrecking ball was activated for OWL again this weekend and a completely new passive ability to support the hero Zenyatta in the form of Brings the Snap kick reinforced by recoil.
At the latest developer blog contribution, the team thinks about Zenyatta's new ability, which increases its victory rate in games by 5 % and at the same time its secure killing rate by 10 %. The patch also led to a shortening of the waiting times for Overwatch 2 by an average of 48 %, whereby the team is optimistic that the improvements of the support "have a lot to do with it".
However, the team notes that it is "still [has] work to do" and has indicated that a new patch for the beta version of Overwatch 2 will be released before the end of the week. This future patch will continue to concentrate on adapting supporters to the 5V5 format of the new game, since the number of support deaths has increased on a broad front.
A similar increase in deaths was also reported in the role of the tank, although the team quickly noted that this D.VA and Orisa affected the most affected, both of whom require the players to change their playing style dramatically compared to the original game. So far, no comment on future changes for tanks has been made.
While no major statistical findings for damage roles were offered, the blog post comments on some community feedback to two heroes who were left behind when changing to mobility and abilities based-Junkrat and Symmetra.

For Junkrat, the team "explores paths to reward direct goals better than an expression of skills", while at the same time it makes sure not to change the feeling of its characteristic splinter thrower too much. As far as Symmetra is concerned, the team admits that their ultimate photon projector in a game that is no longer concentrated on shields "has become more difficult to achieve added value" and suggests a significant revision of the character. If this is pursued, this would be the third major revision of Symmetra since her debut in 2016.
With regard to research into further possibilities to improve the selection rate of support heroes, the development team proposes future changes to Moira and Mercy. The former will probably experience changes in order to better reconcile them with the skill-based kits of other heroes, while the latter will have formalized their "(not so) secret technology"-the "super jump"-into heroism. Be careful not to keep an eye on all important changes to skills and play styles by using our Overwatch 2 hero guide.
