This little skyrim
I am currently playing the anniversary edition of Skyrim. A few days ago I followed in a sky edge of the surprising challenge of a warrior who said she had to fight with me to death. After our short chat and a few beats I suddenly the owner of a country estate with beautiful views. Hendraheim, the Skyrim veterans will know it.
Housing deluxe for collectors
The cool on the new home: The hut is not only gorgeous comfortably furnished, everywhere is also dress dolls, and there are numerous weapons stands and wall brackets. Above all, the basement did it to me, because there I can also place well-known objects such as Certification, Burials Tribes or the level wrapping prominently.
And who would have thought it? The empty squares motivate immensely to go out to the world to complete the different arms sets, to raise the iconic weapons and bring the unique collection objects to light. More than it could ever have a desire list in a menu. Clothes rack and arms mounts As in Skyrim, there should be in almost every (online) role play. Source: animal sets
Mandatory feature for RPGs
Certainly, it's not just fun to admire the growing, beautifully presented collection of arms sets and weapons and find a nice place forever new bags. However, this housing feature also has another advantage: one saves inventory space and does not hide the items in any chest (or a bank compartment as in other RPGs).
Honestly, such garment dolls, wall brackets and weapons stands, I would have exactly so in any other roleplaying game in which the armor and weapons designs are chic enough to justify the presentation and collecting. Especially in every online roleplaying game would be just fantastic... or?!
Clothes rack for zeroth!
Let's just take World of Warcraft. How stupid that felt then to have to throw the first animal sets from the bank to make room for all the new cramps? When Blizzard then introduced the transforming feature, that was like a second blow to the stomach pit: just because the devs in the past had not created enough storage space, I have to farm the sets now a second time when I want to transcode them? Well, thank you! In the course of the WOW story, there were a lot of animal sets, which are hiked by the bank in the trash — crazy shortage. Source: Gamepedia
All this could have been avoided from day 1. With a simple instanced dressing room with... you suspect it... dress dolls, wall brackets and weapon stands that are expanded with every extension. And also with place to be able to expand the heads of defeated dragons and monsters or iconic artifacts.
You do not even need a complex Housing system to implement something like that. In combination with the possibility to set up a house plus plot individually, that would of course be the coronation.
Do you also see it like that? Should RPGs give us much more often the opportunity to exhibit our bags somewhere? Borrowed me your opinion in the comments!
