New World: Developers want to be more open with the community, publish extensive blog
It is no secret that New World currently has such a few problems. Annoying mechanics, do not end doing bugs, and developers who do not communicate properly with their players. For example, many explanatory posts of developers were shared only in response to a player thread.
In terms of communication and transparency, the developers have now made significant progress in Amazon. On the one hand, an update about the weekly patch should be published every Tuesday. Each new patch is also received a megathread where feedback and bug reports are collected. Furthermore, there is now a DEV Corner, in which the developers want to share detailed reports about the status of the game in the official forums of the title.
Together with the new patch 1.0.5, the developers in the DEV-Corner published an extremely extensive and very transparent blog post about the current situation of New World (Buy Now 39.99 €).
Cross-regional server transfers may still come
Recently, New World developers had to disable the server transfers due to a Gold Exploits. Meanwhile, these are available again for all players, as the community manager Luxendra writes in the blog post. In addition, Luxendra assumes that server transfers should have been possible between different regions. The team is currently working to implement these transfers, but it is probably a pretty difficult undertaking and therefore needs a lot of time.
New Worlds economy is stabilized
Furthermore, the economy of the new MMOS is a constant discussion topic. According to Amazon himself, more gold is currently generated in the game than removed by any mechanics. However, most gold is generated on steps 1-35 and from Level 60, the inflow of new gold falls significantly. The developers are aware of this problem and want to monitor for the time being, whether enough new gold comes into play through the Outpost Rushs, as they have only been available recently.
At the same time, the developers are still addressing the topic that new players can not create a character on a full server. As a result, these may not play with their friends, of course, and at some point there are no more player players on lower levels, which according to the developers bring the most gold into play. But this is not a problem after the current data.
In order to stabilize the economy a bit, a few gold-destroying mechanics were weakened by a lot. Equipment is now damaged by 10 percent less if players should die in a PVP fight. In addition, there will be taxes for any home ownership every seven days instead of every five days, but the actual sum remains the same. Redistribution of attribute points now costs 60 percent less gold and players now probably receive 50 percent less honey from beehives and 65 percent fewer milk from cows, as it simply gave much of this resource in the world.
Expeditions now also grant more gold, for example, end-game bosses should now drop twice the amount of talers. Among other things, a bug was resolved, whereby the use of repair kits has cost gold.
Trading items now networked
One of the most important points of the blog post is that all trading posts in New World are now networked. Earlier you could see the offer of other auction houses in each area, in order to actually buy something you had to travel in the area. Meanwhile, each item can be purchased from anywhere. The purchase and sale fees are followed by in which area you are currently located.
Gold Exploits probably fixed, player locked
Of course, the developers also go to the various economy exploits in the blog post. For example, players through the trading system were able to double their gold or their objects, which is why developers all Taler transfer for the first deactivated. As a result, however, another Gold Exploit integrated into the game, which worked on the area upgrades.
According to its own statements, the developers permanently blocked every player who used the former Exploit. However, the area upgrade exploit could also be accidentally triggered, which is why developers only want to take action against guilds, which without doubt purposely use it. Furthermore, the developers want to make sure that no one received financial loss by deactivating the Taler transfer. For example, if taxes can not pay taxes, the developers want to provide a reparation.
Gold-selling is restricted
Like many MMORPGs, there are also in New World so-called Gold Seller, which flood the in-game chat with its offers. The developers are currently working on solutions for this problem, and have already made some arrangements. Gold-seller probably created new characters to sell their gold. From now on, players now need to reach level 10 and have an account age of at least 72 hours to act with gold. Furthermore, initial quests give less, higher-level quests for more gold. Also, the introductory quest for the trading post must be completed before you can use it. Of course, numerous gold sellers and bot accounts have now been locked.
No automatic locks for too many reports
The developers also write something about the reporting system of the game. In the past, numerous players reported that much of the guild crew was closed directly before a war for some time. According to the developers, players used the reporting system as a war tactic and attempted members of an enemy guild to break the Code of Conduct in the chat. Each report of a player should probably be examined by a person and should have a player s actual misconduct on the day, this is blocked. As an automated system, only Easy Anti Cheat should act.
Other bugs should be resolved in the future
Although the developers with patch 1.0.5 already removed some bugs from the game, there are still more than enough. For example, it can happen that players in a kind of Limbo stuck when they want to join an Outpost Rush. Furthermore, very fast attacking with the different magic weapons probably produce a server lay during the wars and some weapons perks and gems do not currently work properly. Then there are still problems with the World Clock, preserved healing in a salvation field can be increased when ducking, and through a bug, players can no longer perform an evasive role if they have 250 points in the starch attribute achieved. For these problems, the developers do not have a solution in parate, but they continue to monitor and investigate the situation and want to fix the problems as soon as possible.
Developers want to be more open with the community
Overall, the developers would like to speak much more open in the future with their community and this blog post is definitely a step in the right direction. In this, some other things are addressed, such as the height of the taxes, the upper limit for fraction tokens, and more. In addition, the developers currently test different times for maintenance, so they no longer take place on European Prime Time.
The entire blog post is definitely worth a look when you want to receive all, highly detailed information about the current state of the game.
