Are the Joy-with the OLED switch better?
The drift of joy-with has been a constant problem with the switch. Although it seems that with each new couple things are improving a bit, the fear that this drawback is present has never disappeared. Now, with the arrival of the OLED model, Nintendo presents us with white controls, which, at first instance, it seems that they are similar to other accessories, but there is more than it seems.
Recently, Ifixit was given to the task of opening a Nintendo Switch OLED, and realized that there are a number of internal changes. Regarding the joy-with, it has been discovered that the rail where we adjust the controls to play in portable mode have been redesigned . In this way, far away have been the days where the joy-with felt loose, as they are now more rigid.
Internally, OLED targets are very similar to any other model, but Nintendo has been responsible for making joysticks more resistant to use . However, when opening them, there is no substantial change that demonstrates some kind of improvement in this section.
On related topics, here you can learn more about the internal components of the switch. Similarly, here we say five reasons why to take the jump, and five for which not to opt for this model.
Editor s note:
The joy-with currently are like a collection object. Due to the DRIFT, it is better to leave them in your box or use them only as an aesthetic element of the switch, and use a Pro Controller. It is a pity that these controls have this problem and, considering previous comments from Nintendo, it is very likely that this never changes, which is a disappointment, since the OLED model works great in portable mode.
